Andrew Rivkin is a Canadian born Entrepreneur from Toronto, Ontario. He attended the University of Toronto earning a BA in computer programming. CryptoLogic was founded by brothers Andrew Rivkin and Mark Rivkin in 1995 from the basement of their parent’s house. The brothers wanted to find a real life application for a secure online financial transaction system which they had developed.

In 1995, CryptoLogic was just an idea discussed between football tosses and golf swings in an abandoned Toronto warehouse. As fresh graduates, Mark and Andrew Rivkin knew they wanted to start a business but couldn’t decide which way to go. “One of the jokes was that we’d turn that warehouse into an indoor golf dome,” said Andrew Rivkin.
